hey good people i actually know:

my teams have a WIDE open fucking lane to fix some gnarly shit before it gets worse.

and because I always kept a weird "in case of emergency" ace up our sleeve for 20 years -- and that last batch of glorious weirdos took it seriously -- i have a curveball way to fund and scale this.

  • fallback text for an image

the open lane is the Institute for Digital Humanity

which, for a thousand complicated legal and nerd reasons --

and the simple fact that we took zero partisan/DEI/MAGA dollars --

is (hilariously) quite possibly the last viable, nationally-scalable "Manhattan Project" for AI, disinfo, privacy, free speech, and the college DEI mess.

And since the Department of Ed collapsed, it has another wide open lane.

  • but the universe has a sense of humor:

because we branded a version of this thing for comedians -- in case, uh, 2025 happened --

and since I have enough of those sorts of people figuring out we're for real to justify explaining it to them,

i went all in on trying to do that.

  • the punchline is that i have never really mentioned publicly what this thing -- and my life's work, i suppose -- "actually is"

because it would take a shitload of non-partisan $$$ to scale and i originally built the systems using fucking comedians

this is the good stuff, but please do not share this link (I trust you): the password is "mothjokeY2k2025" (no quotes)

so I have a ton of reporters, some of those comedian people, schools, and state/local/national elected officials' staffs wanting to see this thing.

and I want to get it to them -- and get back into this nightmare news cycle -- on Monday.

but i need some help pushing this goddam thing out of the garage.
  • brass tacks: to keep the ip pure (and keep me from being re-nda-ed and/or guantanamo-ed, i suppose) no one has been paid in year

i've turned down high profile gigs, both sides will take me, schools and first amendment orgs are still headhunting me

but: what's under the hood (both sides) is ugly AF: i had to walk away from my dream interview last summer when i popped the hood: it's gross

  • i / we need two weeks to try to land this with the comedians or -- worst case scenario -- grab a college, state, and industry

(that's most people's "best case scenario" and we have the pieces in place; had to wait out Project 2025, McMahon, and the AI Safety movement imploding).

  • but i have liquidated (literally) every asset (except a couple guitars and a few records) and right now the websites are dark and we lost our (20 years) of research on the database.

haven't paid the vendors in months; it'll take about $2k to get it all turned back on (and getting some folks a little cash to keep them working/safe also helps).

what would relax people with fuck you money

and get us back on track

  • is a little volume (not amounts) coming into the donation page (tip jar shit)
    from people.

    here's that
  • And we are basically shadowbanned on social -- it won't promote you either if you post our stuff -- so I need a favor.

so if you got friends, and your friends are cool, send them the public links and tell them to do the same.

if you got someone who wants to see the backstage -- and you trust them (and they have resources) -- that's awesome just do me a solid and let me send them the link so I can keep track.

  • that's all i got.

    love ya all. stay safe.

p.s. we are an incorporated non-profit in nebraska.

p.p.s. hilariously, i was on Canadian TV

last week making the comedian pitch (and threatening to give the Manhattan Project to Canada) but it won't air for a bit; that's how the finances got thrown off.

p.p.p.s. i am 100% fine

got put on medicaid last week so i don't have to worry about that; plenty of folks will hire me. but that won't work. this will work. it's -- literally -- what i've been doing for 20 years.

p.p.p.p.s. i am bad at websites
